Rahul Gandhi accused EC of ‘wrongdoing’ in Maharashtra poll
Rahul Gandhi on Friday accused the Election Commission of doing “wrongdoing” in the Maharashtra assembly elections and said that several discrepancies have been seen by the opposition in the voter list.
Speaking at a press conference, Gandhi said: “We represent the table – the entire opposition that contested the final election in Maharashtra. We are going to bring some information about the election. We studied details – voters and voting list. Our teams are working, and we have found many irregularities. ,
“We need the voter list of Lok Sabha elections and assembly elections, to understand who these new additional voters are. We also want to understand how many voters were removed and why voters were transferred from one booth to another – most of them were SC/ST voters, “he said.
Gandhi said that the Election Commission had not responded to the request and the only reason behind this was his wrongdoing in the election process.
“The Election Commission has not responded. Now, the only reason they will not respond that something is wrong with what they have done. I am not making any allegations. I am clearly presenting the data here, “he said.
Our questions to the Election Commission on Maharashtra elections: – Why did EC add more voters in Maharashtra than in 5 years in 5 months?
– Why were there more registered voters in 2024 than the entire adult population of Maharashtra?

Gandhi also listed some questions for the Commission in a post on X, which was read, “Why did EC add more voters in Maharashtra in 5 months, it was compared to 5 years than 5 years? Why were there more registered voters in 2024 compared to the entire adult population of Maharashtra? ,
Meanwhile, reacting to Gandhi’s allegations, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said, “The Election Commission has clearly answered all questions. Rahul Gandhi is firing a cover because he knows that after 8 February, after the Delhi election results, his party will not be anywhere in Delhi and therefore, what he will say that day, how he will create a new story, he is practicing. . Which is the same. If Rahul Gandhi does not introspect and will continue to comfort himself with lies – his party’s revival is not possible. Rahul Gandhi should introspect in his defeat. ,
