A 17 -year -old girl was allegedly gang -raped by a group of seven students in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. Reacting to the unfortunate incident, Tamil Nadu BJP President. Annamalai slammed the ruling DMK-government in the state on Tuesday, alleging that women are “unsafe” in the state.
The BJP leader accused the youth of increasing the misuse of drugs among the youth. Calling the rape incident “shocking”, Annamalai further stated that such incidents have a link with an increase in drug abuse.
Annamalai failed to express her views and allegedly ensure women safety at the Social Media Platform X for expressing her views and criticizing Chief Minister MK Stalin.
In a post on X, the BJP chief of the state wrote, “The news of a 17 -year -old girl being gang -raped by 7 students in Coimbatore is shocking. Such collective-intercourse on girls shows that due to the misuse of rising drugs, young animalists are turning to animalist mentality. ,
“The whole country was shaken by Nirbaya. But, in Tamil Nadu, every day, women, students, women police officers and women government officials are completely unsafe. The BJP leader wrote on X in Tamil language that the DMK government has not left a single finger to prevent drug trafficking or ensure safety of women.
He further asked the CM, “If the culprit is from the DMK, will the Chief Minister @mkstalin tell us that those who benefit from affecting women are benefited …?”
