Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday launched a brilliant attack on the opposition on his comment on the Maha Kumbh Mela running in prayer and said that the biggest religious congregation “malicious” was going on by spreading “misunderstandings”.
Yogi slammed the comments of West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and RJD chief Lalu Yadav and said that Maha Kumbh is not an organization by the Uttar Pradesh government, but the feelings of the Hindu community have been hurt by the society and their statements.
“There is a bid to ugly the Maha Kumbh. This is the Nahi of the Maha Kumbh Sarkar, the ease of the Samaj (it is not organized by the Maha Kumbh Sarkar; it is a program organized by the society). Addressing the assembly during the response of the Governor’s address, we said, “We are operating the Maha Kumbh Mela despite spreading wrong information.
“Whenever we speak against Maha Kumbh or show a fake video on Maha Kumbh, it damages the beliefs of millions of people,” he said.
Yogi opposed the opposition from day 1 to oppose the religious congregation and “spread lies and rumors” about the Kumbh Mela.
Yogi said, “Samajwadi Party is speaking against the organization of Maha Kumbh from day 1.”
The Chief Minister took RJD chief Lalu Yadav for his comment against Maha Kumbh and took a jib in Akhilesh Yadav, who also took a dip in Triveni Sangam last month.
“Lalu said that this is Faltu’s Kumbh, he targeted Sanatan Dharma. The leaders opposing Maha Kumbh secretly took a dip in the Kumbh. Samjwadi party used rude words against Maha Kumbh,” Yogi Said.
