Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav on Wednesday excavated Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to name cricketer Mohammed Shami instead of Mohammad Kaif.
The CM was speaking in the assembly that he was defending his government to handle the Maha Kumbh Mela in Pragraj. He said that people of all castes and religions were welcomed in Kumbh and claimed that cricketer Mohammed Shami had performed ritual bath.
“There was no discrimination against anyone in Maha Kumbh in prayer. Cricketer Mohammed Shami also took a holy dip. People of various castes, creeds and religion, if they have come with devotion in the heart, have also taken a holy dip, “said Yogi.
While no official confirmation of Shami has been confirmed on the visit of Maha Kumbh, cricketer Mohammad Kaif took a dip at Triveni Sangam at Triveni Sangam of prayer in December last year.
Former UP CM Akhilesh Yadav was in a hurry to point to the mistake and took it in X saying: “Now the cricketer’s name has also been changed?”
