Petitioner Narasimha Murthy told PTI that only jewelery and documents were handed over, while 27 other items lived with Jayalalithaa’s secretary since 1996.
On Friday, the Supreme Court dismissed a petition by Jayalalithaa’s legal successor, seeking the withdrawal of the seized property. A bench of Justice Biwi Nagarthana and Satish Chandra Sharma ruled while the proceedings were abolished after his death, it did not mean that she was acquitted. 2017 decisions in the state of Karnataka state.
The CBI court had earlier ordered the transfer of all the seized assets to the Tamil Nadu government.
