Board unable for prayer, passengers break window at Bihar station

Madhubani railway station in Bihar saw anarchy on Monday as a large number of passengers were going to the Maha Kumbh in the neighboring state of Uttar Pradesh, when they were unable to board the train, the glass windows of the Swatanatra Fighter Super Fast Express were broken. . In the video of the incident, passengers threw stones in the train and shattered the windows of AC coaches, causing panic among the people sitting inside.

As a train, who was traveling from Jainagar in Bihar to New Delhi via Prayagraj, reached Madhubani railway station, a huge crowd of passengers was seen standing on the stage. Eyewitnesses said the train was already packed, making it impossible to open the doors.

According to officials, most of the passengers were waiting outside and sitting inside the train, which was to land in Shovaraj to participate in the Maha Kumbh Mela.

A video shows two women sitting inside the AC compartment of the train when one of the passengers broke the glass window. Women can be heard screaming. Shows the broken windows of another train as many people were recording the incident on their phone.

Amarnath Jha, a passenger, said, “I was going to Delhi with my family. They started breaking the windows … everyone got nervous. Even our children got scared and shouted.”

He also said that there was no security system by the railway officials in the event of the incident.

The train stopped for an hour at Madhubani station. It was later sent without any repair.

Officials said many passengers have also been detained by railway officials.

On Thursday night, stones were thrown in the Swatantantananani Express in Samastipur district of Bihar. The train was traveling from Jainagar to Delhi from Delhi on Muzaffarpur-Samastipur Line, when it was attacked, causing panic among the passengers and the train suffered minor damage.

Some passengers were injured, but were treated at a hospital in Samestipur, while the pantry car windows and coaches were shattered next to it. Stones were also thrown in sleeper coaches.

The Samastipur Railway Police has filed a case against ‘unknown people’, and is trying to track the attackers. It is not clear why stones were thrown.

The incident occurred in the outer signal of Samastipur railway station; The train stopped briefly at the station at around 8.45 am before leaving for Muzaffarpur. But as soon as it reached the external signal, stone-pelting started. The attack delayed the train by 45 minutes.
