When actor Kerthi Suresh was planning his marriage and churning the ‘look’ and Truso with his stylists, the Kochi-based bridal wear designer Tia Neel Karricasari became popular. And as the team was handling one of the organization, the jewelery came for discussion. And if Tia was designing this dress, her mother, Asha Sebastian Maithil, who was to make gold jewelery?
Bin called, Asha is probably one of Kerala’s first independent jewelery designers. The work of a mother-daughter pair has come for a lot of praise for the actor’s Goa wedding.

This is not the first time any of them is designing for a celebrity. Asha has also designed for Rajinikanth’s eldest daughter for the marriage of Mamuti’s daughter and one of the work related to the wedding work of racing car driver Narayan Kartikeayan.
A cheerful Asha wore a cream and green ombre kurta and trousers, drawing her matching green heels, as she poses for photos, joking that footwear should be shown. Her enthusiasm believes in 30-odd years that she is designing jewelery.

We are in MOD Signature Jewelery, its designer jewelery store in Panpili Nagar. The first floor has Tia’s bridal design studio, T&M Signature. Kerala as inspiration

When Keerathi mentions traditional IkkathaliAsha gave it a contemporary turn without marrying the beauty of the origin. Conceptual designing

He first designed jewelery for himself in the 1980s. In those days there was no designer jewelery or boutique like today. She married in a family that has a stake in the gold business in Pala, which facilitated her interest in designing jewelery further. “When my son, Akshay, still had a child, I made some jewelery for him, which people liked and wanted similar pieces for their children.” One thing grew from friends and family for another and customers.
Folding in her career, she confesses, was designing jewelery for Mamut’s daughter’s wedding. “It was all word-mouth propaganda. People heard about me and came to me, ”Asha says, who opened a store in Kochi in 2015. The frost was far away, Kochi was located in the more center.
Mode means Matathil Osef Dewasi, her husband Sebastian’s maternal grandfather. His workshop remains in Pala. Akshay handles the trade end of the modes, and sometimes doubles in design.
Asha is also certified by the Gemmological Society of America.
