India wrist spinner Varun Chakraborty has been replaced by Yashsvi Jaiswal in the Champions Trophy 2025 squad in India. Chakraborty was in addition to a final minute for India’s squad for the ongoing ODI against England and was assigned his debut in the second match in Cuttack. He recorded 1/53 figures in his debut in ten overs, which included the wicket of Philip Sult.
On the other hand, Jaiswal recently performed his ODI in the series opener in Nagpur, but was dismissed for 15 (22) as he failed to impress. Virat Kohli saved Jaiswal in the second match, jumping back to his fitness and Shreyas Iyer to return in the first match.
Southpow has been taken to the players reserved for the mega event where he joins Shivam Dubey and Mohammad Siraj. Chakravarti has been unprecedented since his return to international cricket.
