The opposition Congress MLA on Friday created an uproar in the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly on the allegation of Minister Kirodi Lal Meena that his phone calls were being tapped.
The house was postponed by 2 pm due to Pandmonium.
Congress MLAs arrived at the house wearing black bands. They kept shouting slogans in the well about the phone-tapping case.
As soon as the proceedings of the House started, the leader’s leader (LOP) Tikram Julie raised the issue, stating that the cabinet minister’s phone was being tapped and the minister accused the Chief Minister.
“The Chief Minister should resign,” Jul said.
Parliamentary Affairs Minister Jogaram Patel pointed to the Congress MLAs, saying that it was a group of thieves. He said that it was wrong to raise the slogan of the opposition.
Chairman Vasudev Devnani asked the MLAs to continue the question hour. However, the Congress MLA came inside the well and started shouting slogans.
In view of the uproar, the assembly proceedings were postponed till 2 pm.
Later, Congress MLA came out of the House and raised slogans on the stairs of the assembly.
Talking to reporters, Jully said, “We will not let the proceedings continue until the Chief Minister replies in the House.” “Do you think any cabinet minister of the government is tapping the phone? The Home Department is with the Chief Minister and this charge is on the Chief Minister.
“We will not let the proceedings continue until the Chief Minister responds to the House,” Jul said.
Friday is the last day of debate on the Governor’s budget speech. Jully and the then Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma will express their views on the address of Governor Haribau Bagade.

Talking to reporters outside the assembly, Congress state president Govind Singh Dotasara said nothing has been proved after Meena’s serious allegations.
“Either the Chief Minister should clarify these allegations in the House and investigate it or the minister should be removed from the post. Nothing can be done other than these two things, “Dotasara said.
He said that the house will not be allowed to work until a clear statement comes.
