Delhi has been won, but the BJP and its biggest face, Narendra Modi, are not in any mood to rest. The Prime Minister will visit three poll-bound states this month for big programs, which are also seen as the launch of the BJP’s election campaign in the states of Bihar, Assam and Tamil Nadu.

The BJP is preparing for the Prime Minister’s visit to Bhagalpur in East Bihar on 24 February and for Assam on the same day. Bihar goes to elections in October-November this year, while Assam elections are one year away. At the end of this month, perhaps on 28 February, PM Modi is expected to visit Rameswaram in Tamil Nadu to inaugurate the new Pamban Bridge that will connect the island city of Rameswaram to the mainland.

In both Bihar and Assam, the BJP leaders are calling the Prime Minister’s visit to the party’s election campaign and aggressively insisting on the record numbers in the audience when PM holds public meetings during his visits. The BJP has been in power in Assam for the last decade and has been in power with Nitish Kumar in Bihar. The Chief Minister of Bihar will share the stage with the PM with BJP leaders in Bhagalpur on February 24.

PM’s visit to this eastern Bihar city is important because it is an area where the BJP is traditionally seen as weak. PM will also release the next installment of PM Kisan Saman Nidi from Bhagalpur to woo the farmers of this region who create the wholesale of voters. Modi will also honor some of these farmers and will also lay the foundation stone of a new central university in Bhagalpur.

From Bhagalpur, the Prime Minister will proceed to Assam for a two -day visit, where he will inaugurate the ‘Advantage Assam 2.0’ Investment Summit, which aims to invest Rs 3 lakh crore in the state. He will also address a public meeting at Saruszai Stadium. There will be a mega jhoom dance performance by more than 8,000 artisans on the occasion. Assam BJP is expecting a major push from the PM before the elections in the state in 2026.
