Samajwadi Party (SP) President Akhilesh Yadav on Thursday strongly criticized the Election Commission (EC), called it “dead”, because due to lack of action on alleged misconduct in Milkipur Assembly Bapol in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh. BJP government rigged in by -elections.

The strong comments of the SP leader came a day later when he accused the BJP of reducing the democratic process.
Akhilesh Yadav’s allegations
Akhilesh Yadav alleged that the by -election was married to voter repression and fraud activities, which included fake voting and voters and election agents, claiming that the BJP had to rigged the election. Had hit the local authorities.
He also posted an audio clip on the social media platform X, which he claimed that there was evidence of misconduct, and called the Election Commission and the Supreme Court to work on the issue.

BJP’s response
However, the BJP dismissed Yadav’s allegations, calling him a product of disappointment after baseless and SP’s defeat.
BJP spokesperson Rakesh Tripathi accused Yadav of spreading false propaganda and claimed that Milkipur Bail was held quite and transparently. Tripathi said, “The Samajwadi Party is getting away from despair after its adjacent defeat in Milkipur.”
The BJP leader also denied the claims of Yadav of electoral misconduct, suggesting that the former Chief Minister would eventually convince EVMs for defeat, as often happened in the previous elections.
A high-dot competition has been formed between Milkipur Bipol SP and BJP, as the seat is politically important in Ayodhya district. The by -election was triggered after Awadhesh Prasad vacated the seat after his victory from Faizabad in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
Bypoll is seen as an important competition for both sides, in which the BJP is to avenge its loss in the region during 2022 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections.
