Chandigarh, 9 February (PTI) Haryana Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini said on Sunday that travel agents involved in sending abroad abroad through illegal routes are being identified and strict action will be taken against them.
He further said that the state government has already established proper mechanisms for citizens seeking employment opportunities abroad, ensuring that they are not victims of any way.
An American military aircraft brought back 104 illegal Indian migrants last week, as part of the action against illegal migrants as the first such batch of Indians exempted by the Donald Trump administration.
Of these exempted, 33 each were from Haryana and Gujarat, 30 from Punjab, three from each Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh, and two from Chandigarh. Many of Haryana have pronounced the ordinance faced by them after being cheated by dishonest travel agents and demanded action against them.
Talking to reporters in Faridabad, Chief Minister Saini said that people involved in sending the youth of the state through illegal (‘Dunki’) routes are being identified and strict action will be taken against them.
He reiterated that the state government would introduce a law to strictly control illegal immigration. The proposed law will be presented in the upcoming budget session, he further said.
Meanwhile, Saini hosted a lunch on behalf of the state government at a tourist campus during the ongoing 38th Surajkund International Crafts Fair in Faridabad.
The event saw the presence of many prestigious guests, including many Haryana ministers, some Union ministers, BJP MLAs and senior BJP leaders as well as others.
Talking to reporters on the occasion of the incident, Saini said that the people of Delhi have given a historic mandate by supporting the policies of the BJP.
He said, “The people of Delhi are now happy as they will eventually get full benefits of all the schemes implemented by the central government, from where they were deprived for many years,” he said.
He further said that former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal had always “misled” people. Saini alleged that Kejriwal has constantly resorted to lies, whether it is about cleaning the Yamuna river, providing clean drinking water to every house, or building new roads.
He said that Kejriwal has “deprived of the beneficiaries of benefiting from ambitious welfare schemes like Ayushman Bharat, even if such an initiative was for people of all sections of society”. PTI Sun NSD NSD
