Isha Foundation filed against Mahashivratri celebrations in Coimbatore

A petition has been filed in the Madras High Court.


Chennai:

The Madras High Court on Friday directed the Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board to verify whether the rules and regulations are being followed by the Isha Foundation during the Mahashivratri ceremony to be held on 26 February in Coimbatore.

The court directed TNPCB to file a report on 24 February.

A division bench, including Justice SM Shivsubramaniam and K Rajsekar, directed and posted on 24 February, a petition filed by St. Shivganan.

The petitioner sought a direction to the authorities to initiate appropriate action against Isha Foundation to conduct their facilities without adequate sewage treatment facilities, which causes pollution to discharge untreated sewage, causing severe noise pollution It is formed and prevents any permission for Mahashivratri work on 26 February from releasing. And last year 27 in light of alleged violations.
