This was a relief at the Bengaluru FC camp as it was won 3–0 on Jamshedpur FC in his Indian Super League struggle at Shri Kantirwa Stadium on Sunday.
A brace of Alberto Noguera and an Edgar Mendez Strike helped BFC break the six-game winning streak. The host (31 points) ranked fourth on the table of points and reinforced his push for a playoff spot.
The fire quickly became clear to get out of a bad run, as the domestic team promoted the opportunity.
Mendez was left alone with JFC goalkeeper, but a weak side-foot shot was not to meet the standard.
save
Sunil Chhatri then stepped up to the penalty spot, as a result of Sourav Das, Suresh Wangjam was brought down. This made an extraordinary savings to deny the umbrella from Albino Gomes.
Mendez succeeded in keeping BFC on a scorchheet just before half the time. The Spanish striker pressed a drop-ball that Pratik Chaudhary failed to clean, and dropped it into the house with minimal fuss.
BFC has another couple through Alberto Noguera Free-Kick.
Noguera swam it in the box from outside, and was surprised to see the ball behind the net secretly.
JFC Defense was distracted by the efforts of BFC defender Rahul Bheke’s header. Bheke did not contact any, even he gestured to claim the target.
done and dusted
Noguera put the game in bed with his second goal late in the match. For the first time this season, BFC goalkeeper Laltuammawia Ralte made a debut ahead of Gurpreet Sandhu.
Result:
BFC 3 (Edgar Mendez 43, Alberto Noguera 57, 82) BT JFC.
