K’Taka Lokayukta, as ‘no evidence found’ in Muda case, gives a clean chit to his wife Siddaramaiah as his wife.

The Lokayukta police said on Wednesday that no evidence was found against his wife and other Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah in the Mysore Urban Development Authority (MUDA) case.

Muda ‘Scam’ is the center of irregularities in the allocation of compensation sites by Mysuru Urban Development Authority. Under the investigation, the land was allegedly gifted to Parvati by his brother Mallikarajunswamy in 2010.

In 2017, Muda decided to allocate an alternative site to Parvati to compensate for his land acquisition. He submitted another petition in 2021, demanded an alternative site, and in January 2022, he was given 14 plots. However, the government discontinued the 50:50 plan in October 2023. In July 2024, Siddaramaiah allegedly sought a compensation of Rs 62 crore, alleging that his land was incorrectly acquired.
