BJP leaders congratulated Rekha, who won the February 5 elections from Shalimar Bagh Assembly constituency. “She will write a new chapter in Delhi,” said BJP MP Basuri Swaraj.
The party also seized an opportunity to train guns on the AAM AADMI party, which was excluded from its decade long rule in the national capital. Party MP Yoginder Chandolia said, “Rekha Gupta will be Delhi CM. Atisi has received an answer today.”

Rekha took the X to X and expressed “heartfelt gratitude” to the party leadership for relying on me and handing me over the responsibility of the Chief Minister’s post. “He said,” your belief and support has given me new energy and inspiration. I pledge that I will work with full honesty, integrity and dedication for the welfare, empowerment and overall development of every citizen of Delhi. ”
The Aam Aadmi Party congratulated Gupta and assured support to the new BJP government in the development of Delhi. “Many congratulations to Rekha Gupta for becoming the Chief Minister of Delhi. I hope he will fulfill all the promises made to the people of Delhi. We will support the people of Delhi in every work for the development and welfare,” AAP Chief and former CM Arvind Kejriwal said.
The outgoing Chief Minister Atisi also congratulated his successor, saying that “BJP will always get support from AAP for the development of Delhi.” He also said that Sushma Swaraj, Sheila Dixit and then Rekha will be the fourth woman CM.
