Pakistan Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar said on Saturday that Pakistan and India have agreed to ceasefire with immediate effect. A few minutes after President Donald Trump claimed, a statement came that India and Pakistan had agreed to the “complete and immediate” ceasefire after a conversation by the US.
“Pakistan and India have agreed to a ceasefire with immediate effect. Pakistan has always tried for peace and security in the region, without compromising on its sovereignty and regional integrity!” Dar posted on X (East Twitter).

The US President announced in a post on Truth Social, “After a long night of mediation by the United States, I am happy to announce that India and Pakistan have agreed to a complete and immediate ceasefire.”
“Congratulations to the two countries to use general knowledge and great intelligence. Thank you for paying attention to this matter!” Trump said.
After Trump’s announcement, US State Secretary Marco Rubio spoke to the Foreign Minister’s Jaishankar, Pakistan Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar and Pakistan’s Army Chief General Asim Munir.
Rubio also made a similar statement on X.
