The Uttar Pradesh government said on Saturday that the Digital Lost-end-found center set up at Maha Kumbh Mela here has helped more than 20,000 missing people in reunioning with their loved ones.
According to this, 8,725 devotees were rejoined at the main bathing program on the occasion of Digital Lost-And Found Center, Mouni Amavasya, equipped with advanced AI-based facial identification technology, machine learning and multilingual support.
Similarly, Makar Sankranti Bathing Event 598 devotees were detected and united with their families, while during the Basant Panchami Amrit Snow, the centers helped to re -connect 813 pilgrims with their families, the government said.
In addition to these major bathing events, digital centers have helped over 10,000 people reunite with their families. The government said that a large number of women were again associated with their families. The police also played an important role in this effort, said this.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurated Digital Lost-And-Found Centers on 7 December last year to ensure trouble-free experience for devotees participating in Maha Kumbh.
Ten digital loses and found centers were installed at prominent places, which included the PROGRAJ Junction railway stations. Uttar Pradesh Police, administrative officials and various voluntary organizations played an important role in the functioning of these centers.
UNICEF and many other non-governmental organizations also actively contributed to this initiative.
The state government said that following the instructions of CM Adityanath, these centers are equipped with the waiting areas, medical rooms, toilets and other necessary facilities to ensure a comfortable experience during the reunion process.
