In the latest development, the new Chief Minister of Delhi, who will be from BJP, will not live in ‘Sheesh Mahal’, where former CM Arvind Kejriwal lived.
Flagstaff road in civil lines has been a center of the bungalow dispute, as the BJP allegedly stated due to the heavy renewal costs associated with it. The word ‘Sheesh Mahal’ was coined to accuse Kejriwal’s scam in its renewal by the BJP.
After Arvind Kejriwal resigned and vacated the house, he was then taken to Delhi CM Atisi. However, after an audit, the Public Works Department captured.
BJP leader Vijendra Gupta said, “In the first session of the Delhi Legislative Assembly, we will table the CAG report (on expenses on renewal of the Chief Minister’s residence),” the news agency ANI.

When asked about the BJP’s CM face for Delhi, BJP leader Vijendra Gupta said, “The party will decide the high command on it. All 48 MLAs are equal in the party’s eyes and any of them can be CM.”

In the Delhi Election 2025, after winning a majority in the 70 -member assembly, the BJP ended the long AAP rule. While the BJP won a decisive 48 seats, AAP was reduced to 22. The Grand Old Party Congress, once ruled Delhi for 15 years, again ran empty handed.
AAP convenor Kejriwal, who contested from New Delhi constituency, lost to BJP’s Parvesh Verma in a hot fight. Verma defeated Kejriwal by 4,089 votes, while Congress candidate Sandeep Dixit won 4,568 votes, finished third.
