Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, who is still known for his valor and bravery, had eight marriages and most of them were mainly due to political reasons. Jeevubai aka Yasubai was born as Rajau Shirke. She was the daughter of Pilji Rao Shirke- a Maratha Sardar.
