A second year MBBS student at Al-Amin Medical College in Vijaypura, Karnataka has alleged that he was subjected to cruel ragging and physical attack by senior students. Taking X, the National Convenor of J&K Students Union said, saying, a group of 6-8 persons came to a storm in their hostel room late at night and attacked the victim brutally. He repeatedly defeated him, forced him to record a video, apologizing under Dures, and issued chilling threats.
A student network, J&A Students Association for the safety of students in Jammu and Kashmir said, “This incident highlights the dangerous culture of ragging that continues to plague our institutions. Ragging is a crime, and those responsible for those Has to face strict legal action.
He urged Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah to take immediate cognizance of the incident and ensure the safety of students.
