According to astrologers, people who are unable to travel to Shrimaraj for Maha Kumbh or to bathe in the Ganges River on Magi Purnima, they can add Gangjal to the house at home and bathe. While bathing, someone should chant the mantra, “Ganga Chaga Yamun Chawa Godavari Saraswati, Narmad Sindhu Kaveri, Jalesmin Sandhim Kuru.” If you are unable to chant the mantra, just pay attention to the mother Ganga during the bath.
