Working hours for revised laborers as increase in temperature

The Labor Commissioner has issued an order to re -reset the working hours of the workers in view of the maximum increase in the maximum day temperature in the state.

The order issued on Tuesday (February 11, 2025) said that the workers will get mid-day break from 12 noon to 3 pm to prevent the possibility of sunstroke.

His work hours have been resumed and have been decided in a period of eight hours from 7 am to 7 pm.

In the case of workers working shift, the morning innings will end at 12 noon and the innings of the evening will begin at 3 pm.

At places that are 3,000 feet above sea level, where the possibility of sunstroke is remote, they are exempted from order.

In the event that the time period mentioned in the order is to be amended due to local emergency conditions, a report should be submitted by the Regional Joint Labor Commissioner/Chief Inspector of Planting to Labor Commissioner Safna Naseeruddin.

It asks for priority for construction and construction of road construction areas by conducting daily inspection along with inspection in other areas. Three teams will inspect under the supervision of District Labor Officer, Deputy Labor Officer and Assistant Labor Officer.
