A senior BJP leader said that the Chief Minister of Manipur did not support his own MLAs, who were forced to live in fear in violence-hit state.

Last time Biran Singh tried to step down as the Chief Minister of Manipur, forcing him to withdraw his resignation by a large crowd outside his official residence. This time there is no such crowd and the lion finally dropped out, closed at least one chapter in a 21-month crisis, which has surrounded the north-eastern kingdom.
For some people, Singh has just worked on a long pending demand. For others, it is a sign that the BJP -led central government is moving towards a resolution for the struggling state.
However, most of the MLAs have been asked to comment on the situation, BJP President Adhikaramam Sharada Devi said that Singh said that he decided to resign in the interest of the state.
“He has been handling the state well since 2017. Given the current situation, he told the central government that integrity and peace in Manipur should be maintained, and thus decided to resign. He has sacrificed his position for Manipur. It is wrong to say that any BJP MLA was with the Congress. ,

Sources told News18 that strict instructions have been given to BJP MLAs to not talk about this issue. Even the outspoken critic, Yamumanam Khamchand Singh, to handle the Chief Minister in Manipur, has not yet made any comment on his decision to leave.
Sources said that while Singh’s resignation would stop the opposition’s plan without faith, a section of the people still wants to oppose but the administration is on high alert.
