18-year-old engineering student Aditi Mishra died of suicide on Wednesday (12 February), and left the “Sorry” note for her parents. A day before the incident, JEE results were declared and Aditi was inflated. The result was destroyed, Aditi killed herself. A suicide note found in Aditi’s room read “Sorry Mummy Papa, forgive me … I couldn’t do it …”
Aditi, a student of Momentum Coaching Center located in Betiyata in Cantt Police Station area in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh, was preparing for JEE for two years. She used to share a room with another girl in Satydeep Girls Hostel.
After failing the JEE exam, he spoke to his parents on Wednesday morning. During this time, he also asked his father to recharge his mobile. Allegedly, the teenager was removed. At the same time, Aditi’s roommate went out.
When Aditi’s roommate returned and knocked on the door, she did not get any response. The girl peeped inside and saw that Aditi saw hanging from a stolen nose. The roommate informed the hostel warden, which then informed the police.
After investigation, the police recovered a suicide note, reading: “Sorry mother, my father, forgive me … I could not do it … It was the end of our relationship … You guys don’t cry … you guys gave me a lot of love.
Residents of Mishralia village in Aditi’s parents, Sant Kabir Nagar district have been informed. The teenager’s body has been sent for postmortem. Superintendent of Police (City) Abhinav Tyagi said that the real cause of death will be known only after the postmortem.
