Water Resources Minister Nimala Ramanidu met Union Water Power Minister CR Patil in Udaipur, Rajasthan on Wednesday.
On this occasion, the Union Minister assured that the Polavaram will help all to complete the irrigation project according to the Center time limit.
During the meeting, Shri Ramnadu presented a report about the state’s water resources, ongoing works and necessary assistance.
Positively, the Union Minister told Shri Ramanidu that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is paying special attention to the Polavaram project, and he promised that he would visit the project soon.
Shri Ramanidu said that the state government wanted to build the diaphragm wall by December 2025 and complete the entire irrigation project by December 2027.
He said that the diaphragm wall construction had already started with two cutters, and from March, the work would start with a third cutter, he said, and requested the Union Minister to have the Earth-Kam-Rockfill (ECRF) Expand the support in the construction of. diaphragm wall.
The construction of the diaphragm wall in Gap -1 Ha has already been completed, he said, and requested immediate approval of permissions pending for ECRF.
